Cornelius J. E. Lloyd, M.Div.

Cornelius J. E. Lloyd specializes in working with teens but has positively impacted the lives of young people and their families within nonprofit and government sectors and in faith-based communities. For many years, “Mr. Cornelius,” as he was known to his young people, worked with children of incarcerated parents through a nonprofit agency based in Atlanta. In 2015, he was ordained into ministry by the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) Region of Georgia.  For six years Cornelius served as the Minister to Youth, Young Adults, and College Students in Decatur, GA. He was inducted into the Outstanding Atlanta Class of 2009 because of his work in Metropolitan Atlanta. His 15-year career includes working in Georgia's reentry program and coordinating innovative programming for our most vulnerable young people. Cornelius currently serves as a director with Xcel Strategies, a mentoring network, and an associate pastor, with leadership over services for youth and young adults. 

 

He earned a B.A. in sociology from Georgia State University with an emphasis in business and African American studies and an M.Div. from Columbia Theological Seminary. Cornelius currently resides in his hometown of Savannah, GA with his wife Ashley and their two children.
